Our Mission & Team

On Friday, March 27th, we launched Chefs Feed Our Frontlines, a GoFundMe.com campaign and organization to accomplish two things, provide chef made, nutritious meals to doctors, nurses and healthcare workers and put restaurant workers back to work.  We made our first deliveries earlier in the week and are ramping up to increase both the number of meals and the locations for distribution.


Watching family members come home grief stricken and overwhelmed from working as caregivers, and as chefs, forced to close their restaurants, two Carleton College alumni were inspired to do something to help.  Annie Eckhoff, whose Mother is a nurse practitioner and Jeremy Sutherland, whose brother is a chef and restaurant owner, connected to create a solution for both, and very quickly, Chefs Feed Our Frontlines was organized.

Eckhoff connected the clinics with Sutherland’s brother, Chef Justin Sutherland who immediately went back in the kitchen and made lunches that were delivered to Park Nicollet locations starting Tuesday, March 24th

The healthcare workers were grateful to have a meal; 

“We are so busy protecting our patients and ourselves, that we forget to eat! This is the first lunch I have had in a week that isn’t a peanut butter sandwich on the fly!” 

Here is how it works:

Initially identified clinics were contacted and offered the opportunity to have lunch delivered for healthcare workers.  A clinic manager will receive a menu with eight healthy chef made lunch options including vegetarian items.  The manager places an order for lunch by noon and the order will be fulfilled by noon the next day by Chef Justin Sutherland and his team operating from PUBLIC Kitchen + Bar.

The initial clinics participating are as follows, with approximately 400 people being served daily.

     –  Park Nicollet Clinic Lakeville
     –  Stillwater Medical Group Specialty Clinic
     –  Park Nicollet Clinic Plymouth 
     –  HealthPartners Clinic St. Paul 

Already we have been contacted by several additional locations hoping to be included.
